Penza, 9 August 2017. PenzaNews. Cherkizovo Group intends to launch the first stage of a pig-breeding complex for 40,000 head near Penza in the first quarter of the year 2018. The board chairman of PJSC Cherkizovo Group Igor Babaev reported this to the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

"The process is in progress, and we are ready to work in full force preserving the pace of development," he said during the visit of the regional head to the construction site in the Penza region on Wednesday, August 9.

In turn, Ivan Belozertsev emphasized the importance of project implementation in the territory of the Penza region.

"It is important that the management of Cherkizovo Group decided to implement the project in our region, which has all opportunities for animal husbandry development providing livestock with feeding. The project means jobs, a tax base, as well as a guarantee that the Penza meat processing and packing factory will work at full capacity," the press service of the regional government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.
