Such opinion was expressed by Yuri Afonin, deputy chairman of the CPRF Central Committee, first deputy head of the Russian State Duma commission on natural resources, property and land relations during a business trip to Penza on Wednesday, August 23.

"The State Duma has a corresponding bill. Moreover, after a visit to such an enterprise we will initiate it, we will try to persuade the President of Russia of the need for state regulation," he said after a visit to the Penza factory "MashStal".

According to Yuri Afonin, excess profit received by the energy complex should not be a fundamental vector for the development of the economy.

"The problem of many enterprises both agricultural and industrial ones is an increase in electricity tariffs. The state should start to regulate the tariffs because a profit rate in power companies is over several hundred percent," the interlocutor noted.
