"As for the use of wooden materials when building a house, the most important is protection against moisture. If the house has a durable foundation, exterior finish, and was roofed over skilfully, it will serve for a long time. In addition, it is a comfortable dwelling – it is cool in such houses in summer, and warm – in winter. In northern European countries, houses are built of wood but they are expensive. We underestimate our natural resources," he noted during a visit to a factory of construction materials in Zarechny on Wednesday, October 11.
The head of the region added that wooden building was in demand when constructing affordable housing.
"We must promote this activity more actively. In the city of Penza we must create a separate exhibition hall where Penza producers would be able to present houses made of wood," Ivan Belozertsev said.
As it was reported by the press service of the regional government, the governor also ordered to think over the issue of using modern wooden building construction when reconstructing children's camps in the countryside.
