Members of Penza delegation get acquainted with work of AB company
Penza, 19 October 2017. PenzaNews. During a business trip to Italy, representatives of the Penza delegation got acquainted with work of the AB company established about 40 years ago, which specializes in cogeneration – simultaneous production of electric and heat power.
According to the data announced during the presentation, one of promising kinds of activity is biogas-based cogeneration, which uses agricultural, animal or industrial waste for energy production. At that moment, there were 1,700 biogas-based power plants in Italy and about 11,000 – in Germany.
As it was noted by the governor Ivan Belozertsev, the technology could be introduced in the Penza region.
"Maize is used as raw material and we have a good yield of this culture. If necessary, it may also be possible to use additional planting areas to produce it," the head of the region said.
Issues related to cogeneration of energy for greenhouse complexes were also discussed. The AB company is already introducing such technologies in Russia – in the Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Orel regions.
As a result of the negotiations, Ivan Belozertsev expressed readiness to develop cooperation with the foreign firm.
"We are interested in your proposals relating to the equipment of greenhouse complexes with cogeneration power plants as well as the use of cogeneration in large business," the press service of the regional government quotes the governor.
