"As a result of the year, the volume of investment is estimated at 68.6 billion roubles, or 100.1% to the last year level," he explained during a meeting of the regional government on Thursday, October 26.
According to Rauf Chakaev, in the future it is expected that investments will be directed at core capital of the Penza region.
"The increase in investment activity under the target option implies a higher rate [than under the basic one] – from 1 % by 2018 to 4.6% by the end of the forecast period [2020]," the speaker noted.
He explained that creation of predictable conditions for business, export support, reduction in price for credit resources and state support will favour the positive trend.
Rauf Chakaev said that agriculture would remain the leading branch in attracting the investment.
As PenzaNews reported before, as a result of the previous year the volume of investment in the Penza region had reduced by 24 billion roubles – from 89 billion roubles in 2015 to 65 billion roubles in 2016.
