Minister: A decline in prices of food items is observed in the Penza region

Penza, 15 November 2017. PenzaNews. A decline in prices for a range of food items has been observed in the Penza region over the last three months. This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region Andrei Burlakov.

"This never happened before. The price index has remained less than 100% for three months. This indicates that in general retail prices of different food items are declining," he said at the meeting on issues of trade networks' collaboration with Penza producers, which was held in the regional government on Wednesday, November 15.
Andrei Burlakov said that in September according to the level of prices of socially significant goods, the Penza region had occupied the 82nd position in Russia.
He noted that among the other regions of the Volga Federal District, the Penza region has the lowest prices of milk, potatoes, millet, butter, cabbage, cottage cheese, and cereals.
