Penza, 13 February 2018. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region put a representative of the trade network Magnit to shame for the unwillingness to contribute to the promotion of local goods.

During the meeting in the regional government on February 13 the minister of agriculture of the region Andrei Burlakov informed the head of the region that the networks Caravan and The Store of My Area are leaders in cooperation with local producers. Each of the companies concluded more than 90 agreements with them.

He also added that there are stickers reading "Choose Penza goods" on shelves with local products in the Pyaterochka shop, while the management of the Magnit network is not ready to do so considering such highlighting of individual products as unlawful.

After these words, Ivan Belozertsev interrupted Andrey Burlakov and addressed to the representative of the trade network Magnit.

"Let us work together, let us understand each other. What kind of a federal law is violated? [...] You are a Penza resident but resist," the governor said.

According to official data, about 460 contracts for the supply of local goods to trading networks were concluded in the Penza region.
