Issue of deceived construction investors affects sales of municipal land in Penza

Penza, 20 February 2018. PenzaNews. The fall of income from the sale of municipal plots of land is observed in Penza in connection with the fact that local developers took a wait-and-see approach hoping to get the land without biding at a low price in the context of the issue of deceived construction investors. This was reported by the head of the city administration’s Municipal Property Department Nailya Alyusheva on Tuesday, February 20.

She added that the developers had stopped to pay rent for the land for the same reasons.
In particular, System Capital Management owes 30 million roubles to the city budget.
Commenting on the situation, mayor Victor Kuvaytsev admitted that "there are some problems in the industry".
"However, the work with developers must continue because they live in Penza," the press service of the city administration quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
As it was reported before, several criminal cases under Art. 165 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Infliction of property damage through deception or abuse of confidence" were opened in Penza on the fact of the failure to commission houses built by the Penzastroi company.
In addition, the case under Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Swindling" in connection with construction investors of the Decor-Trade company is investigated.
In early February 2018 Governor Ivan Belozertsev said that there are actually 1,800 deceived construction investors in the Penza region.
