At year-end 2017 financial performance of Penza organizations becomes worse

Penza, 13 March 2018. PenzaNews. The net financial performance of Penza region organizations excluding small businesses decreased to 11.9 billion roubles by the end of 2017 accounting for 81.8% of the level of 2016. This was evidenced by data of Penzastat.

Companies engaged in transactions involving real estate had a negative performance. Their net financial result amounted to approximately 435 million roubles with a minus.
A negative trend was also observed in the spheres of provision of electric energy, natural gas and steam as well as air conditioning – the losses exceeded the profits by 335 million roubles.
In addition, hotels and catering organizations also suffer losses – their profit amounted to 2.8 million roubles at the end of the previous year.
According to provided data, the maximum growth to the level of 2016 was shown by organizations that deal with the sphere of IT and communications – the profit of over 160%, though the net financial performance is not very high compared to that of other types of activities – 17.8 million roubles.
Profitability in the spheres of healthcare and social services increased by more than 30% – up to 22.8 million roubles.
The maximum result in absolute terms was shown by manufacturing enterprises. Their net financial performance amounted to almost 8.5 billion roubles, which is, however, 23% less than in 2016.
Organizations engaged in the spheres of agriculture, hunting and fishery fell short of the results of the previous year. Their performance equalled to 1.9 billion roubles or 93.7% to the previous level.
Other most profitable spheres include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles. The balanced financial performance of such organizations amounted to 1 billion 23 million roubles. This is about a quarter less than in 2016.
The net financial performance (profits minus losses) is the final financial performance registered on the basis of all economic operations of an organization.
It is the sum of profit (loss) from sale of goods (execution of works or provision of services), fixed assets, other property of an organization and net income from other operations.
