"In my speech I spoke about the work of the Bekovsky food production facility, the history of its establishment in Soviet times, its problems in the 1990-ies and complete modernization of production since the early 2000s," Ilya Issakov explained adding that participants of the event learned about the niche brand of natural confectionery Bekovo Candy, about regional producer's experience of launching into the federal market and the production of goods for Russian retail chains.
He stressed that in the course of communication with representatives of German medium business he tried to convey the idea about the advantages of locating production of foreign companies in Russian regions.
"The Penza region, where producers have worked successfully and implemented joint projects within the cluster, can become one of such grounds. The proposal generated a lively subsequent discussion among participants of the forum", — the chairman of the cluster board said.
According to Ilya Issakov, political problems and introduced sanctions cannot impede the implementation of such projects and even partly contribute to this given the declining import of foreign food products.
"I am sure that such business meetings are able to stir the interest of German companies to work with Russia, to attract investment in new industrial projects in regions, including in the Penza region", he said.
As the LLC Cluster Development Centre told PenzaNews, as a result of the event, Ilya Issakov received a letter of gratitude from the Hanover Chamber of Commerce and the office of the federal land Lower Saxony in Russia.
