Decrease in volume of commissioned housing observed in Penza region

Penza, 14 May 2018. PenzaNews. 122,200 square metres of housing was commissioned in the Penza region at the expense of all sources of financing in the first quarter of 2018 accounting for 95.6% of last year's level. This was reported by the head of the Penza Statistics Service Maxim Ukhanov.

"Most of the housing was commissioned in the city of Penza – 43,500 square metres were built, or 90% compared to last year. 33,200 square metres of housing were built in the Penza area, 7,400 – in the Bessonovsky area, 4,500 – in Kuznetsk, 4,300 – in the Gorodishchensky area," he explained at the action meeting in the regional government on Monday, May 14.

Maxim Ukhanow drew attention to the fact that 50% of the commissioned housing is due to individual housing construction – the total area amounted to 65,800 square metres, which is 5.4% more than last year.

"By the level of housing commissioning with 92 square metres per 1,000 people of population the Penza region occupies the 8th position in the Volga Federal District in the first quarter of 2018," the head of Penzastat said.

He noted that the Penza area is the leader among municipalities – 550 square metres, the Bessonovsky area occupies the second position – 152 square metres, the Narovchatsky area with 93 square metres rounds out the top three, whereas in Penza 1,000 population accounts for 83 square metres.

Speaking about the facilities commissioned in the Penza region from January to March, Maxim Ukhanov mentioned two health and fitness centres, tree religious buildings, two service stations, a hotel and other facilities.
