Belarus imposes restriction on import of poultry from Penza region

Penza, 27 June 2018. PenzaNews. Temporary restrictions on import of certain products from the Penza, Samara and Kursk regions to Belarus were introduced in connection of detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza in these constituent entities of the Russian Federation. A corresponding decree was signed by deputy minister – director of the Department for Veterinary and Food Inspection under the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic Ivan Smilgin.

Thus, it is prohibited to import live poultry, hatching eggs, wild zoo animals and susceptible animals, poultry, products containing processed eggs, down and feather, hunting trophies, fodder and feed additives made of poultry.
All previously issued permits for the supply of those goods in the country from the above stated Russian regions are cancelled.
Temporary restrictions came into effect on 23 June.
