Penza, 17 August 2018. PenzaNews. 5,564 mortgage loans were issued in the Penza region from January to June 2018, which is 48% more than in the same period in 2017. This was reported by the press service of the Volga-Vyatka main department of the Bank of Russia in the Penza region.

The department added that the total amount the residents received over the period was 8,715 million roubles, which is 62% more than over the first six months of 2017.

"The average term of a mortgage loan is 195 months, the average amount of loan – 1.6 million roubles," the department specified.

The press service explained that the activity in the area is maintained including by easing of price terms of the mortgage.

"In the period from January to June 2018, the average weighted loan rate was 9.6% in comparison with 11.5% a year ago," the department added.
