127 billion roubles of loans issued in Penza region over nine months

Penza, 26 November 2018. PenzaNews. The banks working in the territory of the Penza region issued 127 billion roubles of loans to residents, organizations and private entrepreneurs from January to September 2018, which is almost 20% more than in the same period of 2017. This was reported by the press service of the Volga-Vyatka main department of the Bank of Russia in the Penza region.

The institution noted that the growth was observed both in the corporate segment – by 4.8%, to 69.5 billion roubles, and in the retail segment – by 44.6%, to 57.5 billion roubles.
Commenting on regional borrowers’ obligations to banks, the press service explained that the loan portfolio from January to September had increased by 14.8% and amounted to 204.5 billion roubles as of October 1.
"The quality of the loan portfolio has improved somewhat. The share of overdue debts for this period decreased by 0.5 percentage points and amounted to 4.9% as of October 1," the Volga-Vyatka main department of the Bank of Russia in the Penza region said.
The institution also reported that the volume of citizens' funds deposited in banks by October had surpassed the level of 125 billion roubles and that it was 3.2% higher than the level of the beginning of 2018.
