Penza region occupies 42nd position in ranking of Russian regions in terms of industrial production growth

Penza, 26 November 2018. PenzaNews. The Penza region occupied the 42nd position in the ranking of the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of industrial production growth based on the results of the study of RIA Novosti.

According to the presented data, the industrial production index for the main types of economic activity in the Penza region in January-September 2018 reached 102.7% compared with the result achieved in 2017.
In general, the all-Russian indicator is 103%, which is slightly lower than that a year earlier – 103.3%.
When it comes to the analysis of the regions, the situation is heterogeneous – the index varies from 119.8% in the Astrakhan region to 93.3% in Karachay-Cherkessia.
In January-September 2018, industrial production increased in 62 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The rate of growth in five of them exceeded 10%. In addition to the Astrakhan region, the group of leaders included the Republic of Altai, the Tambov region, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Sevastopol.
The result remained unchanged in one region, and decreased in 22 other regions.
