According to the press service of Russian Space Systems, the candidacy of Alexei Novoselov was suggested following the results of competition and approved by the decision of the board of directors of JSC Research Institute of Physical Measurements as of November 21.
"Alexei Novoselov started his work on November 22," the company explained, adding that he had previously held the position of deputy general director for legal affairs and corporate governance of JSC Russian Space Systems.
The press service added that Sergey Torgashin, who had served as interim general director, continued to work in Research Institute of Physical Measurements as deputy manufacturing leader.
As it was reported before, the previous director of Research Institute of Physical Measurements Andrei Nikolaev had headed the company since autumn 2016 when Alexei Dmitrienko, who used to occupy the post of the head, was vested with the powers of a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
Andrei Nikolaev stood down in September 2018.
