Cherkizovo to build four more pig breeding sites in Penza region
Penza, 14 February 2019. PenzaNews. A protocol of intent on mutual cooperation was signed between the government of the Penza region and PJSC Cherkizovo Group at the Russian Investment Forum (RIF) in Sochi on Thursday, February 14.
Signatures under the document were put by governor Ivan Belozertsev and CEO of the Group Sergei Mikhailov.
"The location was determined and the cost of the construction of four more pig breeding sites was calculated in the framework of signing of the protocol of intent. As a result, at least 39 additional jobs should be created," Ivan Belozertsev explained.
He added that in order to reduce region's costs for the creation of the infrastructure, possibility of building roads at the cost of federal funding under the program of sustainable development of rural areas is being worked out.
According to the press service of the regional government, the parties also discussed commissioning of new pig breeding sites No.6 and No.7. Their construction is currently underway.
It was also decided to consider the possibility of increasing the supply of corrugated cardboard and packaging materials for the needs of PJSC Cherkizovo Group by Penza manufacturers.
