Penza, 21 July 2020. PenzaNews. The turnover of catering in Penza region in January-June 2020 amounted to 4 billion 127.7 million roubles, which is 24.6% less in comparable prices than in the same period of 2019. This was evidenced by data of Penzastat.

The turnover of catering per resident of the region amounted to 3 161 roubles 60 kopecks in the first half of the year. The indicator for the first six months of 2019 was higher and equalled 3 995 roubles 90 kopecks.

In January 2020, the turnover of catering in Penza region reached 842.3 million roubles, which is 5% less in comparable prices than in the same period of 2019.

In February, it fell to 817.2 million roubles (-7.1%); in March – down to 786.3 million roubles (-13.5%); and in April it reached its lowest value since the beginning of the year – 460.7 million roubles (-50.3%).

Then a gradual recovery in the turnover of restaurants, cafes and bars began, but the value of the indicator is still much lower than last year: in May it was 568.5 million (-39.9%); and in June – 652.7 million (-29.4%).
