Penza, 16 December 2020. PenzaNews. The foreign trade turnover of Penza region exceeded 463 million dollars in January-September 2020, which is 29.8% more compared to the same period in 2019. This was stated by governor Ivan Belozertsev.

“This is the best indicator in Volga Federal District in terms of growth rates,” he said during the opening ceremony of the Export-2021 Forum: Opportunities, Support, and Results in the For You hotel complex in Penza on Wednesday, December 16.

The head of the region added that following the results of nine months of this year, there was a positive balance of trade turnover.

“It made up $ 11.9 million [exports amounted to $ 237.6 million, imports – to $ 225.7 million], although in a more prosperous 2019 the balance was negative,” said Ivan Belozertsev.

According to him, the volume of exports increased by a third.

“Penza region carries out export deliveries to 75 countries of the world this year, including 64 countries from far abroad,” the governor specified.

He drew attention to the fact that 36 companies had been assisted in entering export markets.
