Penza, 5 March 2021. PenzaNews. The average monthly salary in Penza in 2020 was 39 830 roubles 50 kopecks, which is 9.6% higher than the average salary in the region as a whole. This is evidenced by Penzastat data from a statistical observation of the number of employees and their salary in non-small business organisations, which analysed data on 1 109 organisations.

Salaries in research and development were 51.9% higher than the city average, financial and insurance jobs were 27.6% higher, public administration, military security and social welfare – 14.4% higher, and finally salaries in health care and social services – 9.6% higher.

The salaries of workers in cultural, sports, and leisure organizations were recorded below the average level by 27.5%, those in educational sphere – below the average level by 17.1%, salaries in wholesale and retail trade were 15.9% lower.

The average number of employees in the monitored group of organisations was 128 000 in 2020.
