The announcement was made by Andrei Luzgin, head of the city administration, while presenting his 2020 activity report at the 21st regular session of the City Duma on Friday, March 26.

“The decline in the real disposable income of the population remains a special problem for us,” he said.
According to Andrei Luzgin, income from business activities and deposits decreased last year and expenses related to loan repayments increased.
According to the information contained in the report of the head of the Penza administration, the average gross salary in the city amounted to 39 830 roubles 50 kopecks in 2020, which is 7.8% more than in 2019.
The average nominal accrued wages in Penza in 2020 amounted to 38 900 roubles, which is 5.4% more compared to 2019.
The report also shows that the nominal cash income of the population of Penza region and Penza increased by 2.6% in 2020 compared to 2019, the real income decreased by 0.9%, and the real disposable income fell by 1.3%.
