Penza, 8 July 2021. PenzaNews. Penza region received additional funds in the amount of 400 million roubles for repairing rural roads. This was announced by acting governor Oleg Melnichenko.

He clarified that the decision to allocate funding to regions had been taken by the Russian government a week before.

“We received another 400 million. [...] This is the money that will be entirely spent on the rural road network. This will give us an opportunity to build another 40 or more kilometres of roads in the countryside,” said Oleg Melnichenko during a live broadcast on the social network VKontakte on Thursday, July 8.
