“The price dynamics in the region was influenced by an expanding supply of fruit and vegetable products, duties imposed by the Russian government on the export of a number of commodities and a high base effect of last year. A gradual recovery in the supply of lumber on the domestic market amid falling world timber prices and a certain normalisation of holiday prices in the popular overseas tourism destination also had an impact,” the text said.
It specifies that the annual price increase for foodstuffs in Penza region in August was 8.74%, for non-foodstuffs – 8.25%, and for services – 4.97%.
