Penza, 11 October 2021. PenzaNews. The salary level remains a problematic issue in the Penza labour market. This was stated by Acting Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Demography of the region Alexei Kachan.

“The problematic issue in the labour market of Penza region remains the salary amount. Low salaries and wages create obstacles to economic recovery and the revival of the labour market. According to the official data of Rosstat, in January-July this year the average nominal monthly salary of employees in Penza region in full-service companies was 35 472 roubles and increased by 7.8% in comparison with the same period last year. This is in spite of the fact that the region ranks 10th among Volga Federal District regions in terms of salary growth rate,” he said at an operational meeting at the regional government on Monday, October 11.

“At the same time, the average salary for job offers that were submitted to the employment service, for the full range of companies, including small businesses, is 25 300 roubles,” added Alexei Kachan.
