Penza, 14 October 2021. PenzaNews. Damate Group completed the acquisition of a feed mill in Shemysheysky area of Penza region. The cost of the deal was around 120 million roubles. This is stated in a message posted on the company’s website.

“This is Damate’s third feed mill in the region, two more operate in Nizhnelomovsky and Narovchatsky area. The nameplate capacity of the facility is 65 000 tonnes of mixed fodder production per year. The total capacity of mixed fodder production increased and amounted to 525 000 tonnes per year. The facility is also used as an elevator for storing grain crops, which allows simultaneous storage of 10 000 tonnes,” the text says.

It follows that the purchase of the plant, which will produce a balanced pelleted turkey feed according to special formulas, is due to the expansion of Damate’s turkey meat project to 207 000 tonnes per year.

The press release adds that the plant employs 70 people, and preference in the recruitment process was given to local candidates.
