Penza, 18 November 2021. PenzaNews. Annual inflation in Penza region in October 2021 accelerated compared to September by 0.76 percentage points and reached 8.96%. Its level is still higher than that in Volga Federal District and Russia as a whole, where it amounts to 8.35% and 8.13% respectively. This is stated in an information and analytical commentary posted on the Bank of Russia’s website.

“The price dynamics in the region was mainly influenced by increased costs of agricultural producers and a reduction in the supply of certain food products. Besides, rising world prices for some commodities, the rise in the cost of international shipping and delays in the delivery of components also had an impact,” the text says.

It adds that the annual increase in food prices in October rose to 12.73%, in non-food prices – to 7.96%, and in service prices it decreased to 4.24%.
