Penza, 10 February 2016. PenzaNews. The children and youth sports school of the Nikolsk area in the Penza region has officially opened the municipal testing center for the Russian physical education and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (abbreviated as GTO) with a festive ceremony.

“During the opening day, the students passed the tests for age groups 1 and 2. A total of 104 school students took part in the test. They competed with each other in shuttle running, pull-ups, dip-ups, stand-and-reach, standing long jumps, and swimming,” the press service of the Penza region Education Ministry informed PenzaNews agency.

A total of 60 school students have passed their tests as a result, they clarified.

“Overall, there will be 30 such centers in the Penza region,” the Education Ministry added.
