The location will be able to seat 50 people.

The host of the Total Dictation at the art hall “Kvartal Louie” will be Vitaly Shilnov, assistant director of STRBC “Penza,” head of TV news programs department.

The dictation proper reportedly will be preceded by a session of the literary hall meeting where visitors can exchange books and enjoy a cup hot chocolate prepared by the art hall barkeepers.

“We made our choice for ‘Kvartal Louie’ as the second exam site because of the motto of the initiative: indeed, everyone can test their literacy level and get in touch with modern Russian literature,” Tatyana Mikhaylova, Penza region coordinator of the Total Dictation initiative, told PenzaNews.

She reminded that the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature in the Belinsky Pedagogical Institute of the Penza State University will serve as the main exam site for this year’s Total Dictation.

The 2015 initiative, which had taken place on April 18, encompassed six continents, 60 countries and 500 cities.

The board of experts in the Penza region, which featured PSU Russian Language Department professors, had checked 283 dictation papers. 17 of them received the highest grade, which was three times more than the countrywide average ratio.
