Penza surveillance cameras on school buildings to be connected to “Safe City” system

Penza, 25 August 2016. PenzaNews. Security cameras mounted on the buildings of educational institutions of Penza must be connected to the system of “Safe City,” mayor Victor Kuvaytsev instructed at a meeting of the antiterrorist commission and the operational group of the city, held on Thursday, August 25.

“It is necessary for a more careful monitoring to be kept not only by the employees of the educational system, but also police officers,” the head of Penza administration said.
The deputy chief of the education department of the city Fyodor Klemin reported on the measures currently taken to ensure the safety of educational institutions.
He said that video surveillance systems that include three or more cameras, are set in 47 schools, 22 preschools and five additional education organizations.
According to him, in autumn it is planned to install video surveillance systems at 84 sites. At a number of them the installation work is underway. For example, video cameras are already installed at 18 institutions, including schools No. 27, 31, 50, 53, 65/23, gymnasium “SAN” and the Orthodox school, the press service of the City Hall informs.
