Penza, 23 December 2016. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev awarded school pupils and teachers who achieved great success in 2016.

Before the start of the grand event, the head of the region visited the exhibition in the governor’s house. At each stand, he asked school pupils and teachers questions that interested him and tested the knowledge of physics formulas of those who created technical projects.

While opening the ceremony, Ivan Belozertsev noted that they managed to create an effective system of collaboration between teachers, school pupils, and their parents in the Penza region.

“If we create conditions for the support of schools, teachers, and children, we will have the prospect for future development in all spheres,” the head of the region said.

He added that the teachers who devote themselves to the profession deserve that their work is highly appreciated.

“In every school that I visited – in cities, areas, and settlements of the Penza region – I saw that teachers take care of the upbringing and education of our children,” Ivan Belozertsev emphasized.

The governor expressed his hope that the quality of education will only improve.

“I am sure that we will take part in Russian, regional and city contests even more actively. It motivates children to know more and to study. That is great. […] There are a lot of temptations nowadays – computers, games […] but the children who learn to work and devote their time to studying and participation in contests have great future,” he said.

Ivan Belozertsev awarded certificates of honour to the school pupils who became winners of the second stage of the contests in ecology, biology, the Russian language, literature, life and safety fundamentals, and physics, as well as to their teachers and school heads.

In addition, university teachers were also awarded.

Besides, the schools that became winners of the contest that assessed achievements in project and innovation activity, crime prevention, teaching how to swim, and participation in the Ready for Labour and Defense complex organized by the order of Ivan Belozertsev were awarded as well.

Representatives of linguistic gymnasium No. 6 in Penza and the school of the Inderka village of the Sosnovoborsk area were awarded with letters of honour and 200,000 rubles certificates.

Penza gymnasium No. 44 and the school of the Russky Kameshkir village received 300,000 rubles certificates.

The winners of the contest – Penza school No. 27 and the school of the Norovka village of the Nizhnelomovsky area – received letters of honour and 500,000 rubles certificates.
