Student of Penza college reaches final of contest "WorldSkills Russia"

Penza, 13 April 2017. PenzaNews. As a result of qualifying events held in Yakutia, the student of Penza college of food industry and commerce Elena Vasilyeva reached the finals of the 5th national championship "Young professionals" under the WorldSkills standard.

As it was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Penza region, she will take part in the contest specializing in "Confectionary".

As a result of qualifying events, 70 representatives from different regions of Russia reached the finals of the competition, which will be held in Krasnodar on May 15-19 and will include 109 areas of specialization. The first stage of the finals will define best young professionals among 1,200 contestants from Russia and other countries.

Winners of the finals will become members of the national team "WorldSkills Russia". Some of the team members will be selected for participation in the world professional skills championships "WorldSkills Abu-Dhabi – 2017" and "WorldSkills Kazan – 2019", as well as in the European championship "EuroSkills", which will be held in Budapest in 2018.
