Anna Makarova from Mokshan becomes teacher of tear in Penza region

Penza, 20 April 2017. PenzaNews. Anna Makarova, a teacher of the Russian language and literature in school No. 1 of the village Mokshan, became a winner of the regional stage of the contest “Teacher of the Year - 2017”, the results of which were announced in the Penza M.Y. Lermontov library on Thursday, April 20.

Congratulating her on the victory, the governor Ivan Belozertsev noted that it is symbolic that the first place was occupied by the teacher of Russian.
He also emphasized that a modern teacher needs more tangible support than that they usually get.
“We are saying that we lover teachers, we are trying to give them attention, but we must do it in a more direct manner. That is why it was decided to introduce changes: till the end of the school year – till May 25 – the winner will receive 100,000 rubles, the teacher who occupied the second place – 70,000 rubles, and the rest – 30,000 rubles. It will be right to do so,” the head of the region said under loud applause of the participants.
According to the contest results, the second place was shared by the teacher of History Natalia Kuznetsova from the village Bogoslovka and the primary school teacher from Penza lyceum No. 2 Olga Pokolyavina.
The third place was shared by teachers from Penza – the teacher of Physical Education from school No. 36 Galina Akimova and the teacher of the Russian language and literature from school No. 58 Alexander Danyuk.
