Penza centre of talented children support to be created together with "Sirius"

Penza, 9 January 2018. PenzaNews. The project on creation of the centre of support of talented children, first announced in Penza in the end of 2017, will be implemented together with the educational centre "Sirius". This was reported by the Minister of Education of the region Alexaner Voronkov.

"In January and February we plan to develop and start implementation of the project 'Centre of support of talented children' together with the presidential centre 'Sirius'," he said at the action meeting in the regional government on Tuesday, January 9.

According to the minister, already in 2018 the project will allow to fulfil the order of the head of state on comprehensive support of young talents in the region.

The educational centre "Sirius" in Sochi was established by the foundation "Talent and Success" at the premises of the Olympic infrastructure on the initiative of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The foundation was established on December 24, 2014, by scientists, figures of sports and arts.

The purpose of "Sirius" is early identification, development and further professional support of talented young people who showed outstanding abilities in arts, sports, natural sciences as well as in technical work.

The centre operates all year round. Children stay there free of charge.

Monthly, 600 school pupils aged from 10 to 17 come to "Sirius". They are accompanied by more than 100 teachers and trainers who improve their qualification.

The educational program is designed for 24 days and includes both classes in major subjects and leisure time aimed at pupils' development, creative meetings with recognized professionals as well as wellness treatment.
