Oksana Ignatyeva from school No. 18 becomes Teacher of the Year in Penza

Penza, 28 March 2018. PenzaNews. Oksana Ignatyeva, the teacher of music in school No. 18, became the winner of the city stage of the contest "Teacher of the Year – 2018", the results of which were summarized at the premises of Penza gymnasium No. 13 on Wednesday, March 28.

She was awarded with a diploma, a commemorative gift and a monetary prize in the amount of 50,000 roubles.
The second place was occupied by teacher of astronomy at school No. 56 Elena Koroleva. She received a reward in the amount of 30,000 roubles.
The third place was shared by two teachers – teacher of the Russian language and literature at lyceum No. 55 Natalia Preobrazhenskaya and teacher of fundamentals of health and safety at school No. 77 Denis Pokolyavin. They received an award of 10,000 roubles each.
Other participants – Olga Konina from school No. 43, Galiya Gefarova from school No. 67 and Anatoly Kiryukhin from school No. 69 – received 5,000 roubles each.
Penza head Valery Savelyev, mayor Victor Kuvaytsev and chairman of the jury, head of the city department of education Yuri Golodyaev, congratulated the teachers on the end of the contest.
As it was noted by winner of the contest "Teacher of the Year – 2018" Oksna Ignatyeva in an interview with journalists, a lack of competitive spirit among teachers was a distinctive feature of the competitions – they became a big happy family.
Speaking about her subject, the teacher of music explained that she considers it the most important.
"I think it must be taught in every school. In my opinion, it is the best subject that charges children with energy and gives them positive feelings," Oksana Ignatyeva said.
