Penza, 19 June 2018. PenzaNews. A regional programme for creation of additional places in kindergartens for children aged from two months to three years for the period until 2020 was approved by a decree of the Penza region government.

According to the document, a copy of which is available to the news agency PenzaNews, the Ministry of Education of the region will be in charge of the programme implementation.

Funding will be provided from budgets of two levels: the federal budget – in the amount of nearly 419 million roubles, and the regional budget – over 240 million roubles.

The main goal of the program is 100% availability of preschool education for children under the age of three years.

In accordance with the presented information by 1 April 2018, the availability equalled to 95.5% 10,356 children of the target age group receive preschool education in the Penza region, 503 people are still on the waiting list.

However, the total number of children from two months to three years old registered in the queuing system for the provision of a place in state or municipal educational institutions of preschool education amounts to 17,223.
