New building of school No. 66 opened in Penza

Penza, 1 September 2018. PenzaNews. A new building of school No. 66 designed for 660 pupils was opened during a solemn ceremony in Svetlaya street in Penza on Knowledge Day, September 1.

During the ceremony governor Ivan Belozertsev noted that its construction was possible thanks to federal support.

"The project is wonderful. All necessary conditions were created in the building. It complies with all state standards for school development," the region head emphasized.

Turning to school pupils he noted that the result of their education will depend on their diligence and efforts.

Ivan Belozertsev presented letters of commendation to the head of the project implemented by LLC Stroy-Partner, Artem Denisenko, and the associate professor of the Department of Design and Artistic Interior Design of Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, Yakov Soludanov.

The governor also passed a congratulatory address from Minister of Education of Russia Olga Vasilyeva to school director Irina Avdonina.

In turn, Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev thanked all those involved in the construction of the building, its preparation for the school year and the landscaping of the adjacent territory.

"Dear friends, the school has always been and will be a necessary condition for the economic development of the city, the region and the whole country," the administration head said.

He noted that the new school building specializing in information technology has both equipment for successful studying and the teachers who will be able to form innovative educational environment.

At the end of the ceremony, Irina Avdonina received a symbolic key in the form of a flash-drive from an animator in a robot costume. Then the first bell rang.

As it was reported before, the new building of school No. 66 in the Shuist neighbourhood was built in about a year.

In addition to classrooms, special premises for elementary school and workshops for pupils of middle and senior schools, it has two sports halls, an auditorium, a canteen with catering facilities and a dining area for 250 people.

The school territory also includes two universal sports grounds for volleyball and basketball, a futsal field, a circular running track and outdoor fitness equipment.
