Penza, 4 October 2018. PenzaNews. Honouring the best workers of education was held in the concert hall "Penza" on the eve of Teachers' Day, October 4.

The festive event began with a prologue during which representatives of Kuznetsk came to stage. These were fourth-grader Polina Rodina, as well as dance groups Tsvetnye Sny and Akvarel, which gave a performance in front of the teachers.

After that Ivan Belozertsev turned to kindergarten teachers, staff of orphanages, institutions of additional education, colleges, schools and universities.

"I sincerely thank you, our dear teachers, our dear veterans, for carrying love to children and your profession through entire life," he said and made a special mention of the best teachers.

These included teacher of Mokshan school No. 1 Galina Mironova, who had received the gratitude of the President of Russia.

The title of Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation was assigned to Irina Guryanova, a master of production training of Nikolsk Technology College, and Larisa Simonova, the deputy director of the Penza Technological Education Centre.

Altogether, over 30 teachers received federal and regional awards. Soon, award ceremonies will also be held in educational institutions in celebration of Teachers' Day.

After the official part, Eduard Izmestiev, a composer, song-writer and singer, performed in front of the audience.
