Penza, 16 July 2019. PenzaNews. Alexander Gulyakov, who was re-elected to the post of rector of Penza State University (PSU) at the conference of workers and students on March 21, took the office on Tuesday, July 16. This was reported by the press service of the university.

According to presented data, the corresponding order of the Ministry of Education was signed on June 10.

Alexander Gulyakov is a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the 6th convocation representing district 4, a member of the faction United Russia. He received a second-class medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, a badge Honorary Officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, and others.

In different years he headed the department of internal affairs of the Penza region, and the regional parliament. In November 2013 he was elected rector of PSU for the first time.
