About 13,500 pupils to start school in Penza region
Penza, 31 July 2019. PenzaNews. About 13,500 pupils will start school in the Penza region in 2019. This was said by head of the regional Ministry of Education Alexander Voronkov.

"This year 300 children less are going to start school. 13,438 first-graders are going to school this year," he said at a press conference on Wednesday, July 31.
The minister added that schools prepared interesting programmes for Knowledge Day, tried to involve as many participants in the event as possible, and made plans for the first lessons in the school year.
According to Alexander Voronkov, on a festive day first-graders will learn about the past and the present of Russia and the Penza region, other school pupils will participate in the project "We are from Penza. Heirs of the winners", which will be implemented in the region on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The head of the department noted that 127,336 pupils will go to school in Penza region in total in 2019.
"This is more than last school year," he explained.
