Five WorldSkills workshops opened in college in Austrina Street in Penza

Penza, 26 December 2019. PenzaNews. Five workshops for training specialists in the areas of hotel administration, baking, fashion technology, restaurant service and hairdressing, which are equipped in accordance with the standards of WorldSkills Russia at the expense of the federal grant of 7,460,000 roubles, were inaugurated at Penza College of Modern Processing Technology and Business.

Addressing the audience, Oleg Yagov, deputy chairman of Penza region government, noted that workshops of that kind that did not exist even in universities started to appear in vocational education institutions.
According to him, it is doubly pleasant that the college created modern conditions for training specialists in the field of restaurant business and tourism industry.
"Penza region has been developing very successfully in this direction in recent years," he said.
In turn, Minister of Education of Penza region Alexander Voronkov said that those were the first workshops that were equipped in the region following the results of the competition conducted by the Ministry of Education of Russia within the federal project Young Professionals.
"I say with confidence that next year we will open 10 more workshops at Penza State University (PSU) and Serdobsk Multidisciplinary College," the head of the regional ministry explained, specifying that the workshops of PSU will be dedicated to information technology, and those in Serdobsk – to agriculture.
Alexander Voronkov specified that 50 modern workshops will be opened within the national project Education till the end of 2024.
Tatyana Pronkina, Director of Penza College of Modern Processing Technology and Business, also addressed the participants of the ceremony and expressed her gratitude to everyone who managed to equip the workshops in the shortest possible time.
