Penza, 12 February 2021. PenzaNews. The Academic Council of Penza State University decided to convene a conference of the university's staff and students on March 4, the main issue of which will be the election of the rector.

The conference staff was approved by the order of February 11. The list includes 249 people.

According to the decision of the attestation commission of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, two candidates were allowed to participate in the election of the rector – the current head of the university Alexander Gulyakov and director of the PSU Polytechnic Institute Gennady Kozlov.

Another candidate, Vitaly Solovyov, head of the university's education and methodology department, was found to have failed the certification.
