Penza region schedules to repair 32 km water pipes

The Penza region has planned to conduct capital repairs and replacements in 32.2 km of water pipelines in 2016, announced Mikhail Panyukhin, head of the Communal Affairs and Civil Security department of the Penza region, during the regional government meeting session on Thursday, May 26.

Moreover, the plans feature repairs of 30 km of heating pipelines and 25 km of sewer lines, he added.
“Right now, the main issue with preparing for the next season is timely and quality work of regional heating suppliers in terms of pressure and hydraulic tests of their heating pipelines,” Mikhail Panyukhin explained, adding that the schedules for these tests were already developed.
He also particularly stressed the importance of restoring the surface asphalt after the repairs.
“As of May 20, there are 238 locations still in need of post-repair restoration in the Penza region,” Mikhail Panyukhin listed, explaining that 150 of them need new asphalt and 88 require surface soil replacement.
According to him, 74 of the aforementioned locations are to be restored by May 29.
