Penza, 17 January 2017. PenzaNews. The wear of the snow cleaning machinery used by the municipal unitary enterprise “Penzadormost” equals to 70%. This was reported by the press service of the mayor's office.

"Cleaning of streets and sidewalks from snow is carried out in the city 24 hours a day. Thus, over the last several days, 79 units of machinery and 109 specialists were used in city cleaning, 5,959 cubic metres of snow were removed. The work was complicated by the scarcity of snow cleaning machinery," the city administration explained.

The mayor's office added that the works on the maintenance of communal roads, squares, sidewalks, public transport stops, underground passages, stairways, bridges and overpasses is carried out by the he municipal unitary enterprise “Penzadormost”, which has 156 units of machinery.

"Among them there are 33 multipurpose road maintenance vehicles, 6 plow brushers, 14 gritters, 20 tractor sweepers, 25 front loaders, 11 small loaders, 8 graders, 6 snow loaders, 4 rotors, 8 bulldozers, 19 dumpers and 2 excavators," the press service noted.

The Penza administration emphasized that 105-110 units of machinery should be replaced by new models.
