Penza, 30 January 2017. PenzaNews. The Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev personally coordinates the works on restoration of heat supply to the Sever area, where repair teams continue working 24 hours a day.

In the operative headquarters located at the premises of school No. 71 the mayor receives information about replacement of frozen pipes and gives necessary instructions.

"Two teams work in every house – one of them restores the heat supply and the other works in the attic," Victor Kuvaytsev told PenzaNews explaining that in old houses wiring goes through attics.

"The main pipelines are already under pressure and connected to the hot coolant, the adjustment works are being done. [...] Two apartments already received heat, two other ones will soon receive it," the interlocutor specified.

According to the Penza mayor, the task is to restore heat supply in full by the end of the day.

"The dynamics shows that we will cope with this task. We expect that by 16.00-17.00 the heat will be restored," the head of the city administration said.

He noted that residents of the houses understand the current situation because they see continuous work of the services in charge, which work 24 hours a day despite the 20-degree frost.

The mayor expressed his gratitude to all professionals involved in restoration of heat supply.

It is planned that the next meeting of the operative headquarters will be held at 19.00.
