Penza, 6 February 2017. PenzaNews. The balcony of the apartment located on the second floor of the first entrance of deteriorating house No. 35 in Udarnaya street in Penza collapsed.

According to available information, as the result of the balcony collapse no-one was injured.

Previously, entrance to the house was limited due to the works on strengthening supporting constructions. No-one lives there at the moment. Entrance is prohibited – the door is closed. The area around the entrance is enclosed by a metal fence.

At the same time, people still live in other parts of the building, which are accessible through other entrances.

As it was reported earlier, in 2015 the interdepartmental commission established that house No. 35 in Udarnaya street in Penza is under the threat of collapse. It does not have a permanent managing company. In 2016 the temporary managing company – "ZhEMUP-7" – initiated the general meeting of the tenants on the issue but because of the people's refusal the works did not start.

On December 18, 2016, a part of the brickwork at entrance No. 1 collapsed.

It was decided to disconnect this part of the building from communications to conduct works on supporting structures strengthening. It is planned to start the repairs in warm season.
