Over 2,000 people planned to be resettled from dilapidated houses in Penza during year

Penza, 16 March 2017. PenzaNews. It is planned to resettle 2,235 people from 1,050 accommodations in 142 dilapidated houses in Penza during a year within the framework of realization of the corresponding programme in 2016-2017. This was reported by the head of the Communal Affairs Department Andrei Grishin.

"We have developed a workflow diagram on concluding the programme in time and we strictly follow it. We conduct work with each resident separately and discuss all relevant issues," he said during the regular City Duma commission meeting on communal affairs, territory improvement and ecology that was held on Thursday, March 16.

Commenting on organization of demolition of the dilapidated houses, residents of which already received new accommodations, the head of the department explained that due to weather conditions many contracting organizations will start work a bit later.

"If we start works right now, we may harm urban infrastructure. Dirt from these grounds will get into streets and on roads," Andrei Grishin said.

As it was reported by the press service of the Penza administration, in 2017 it is planned to demolish 58 dilapidated houses.
