Penza, 11 April 2017. PenzaNews. The authorities and the society should do their best to make Penza as clean as Europe. Such opinion was expressed by the head of the city administration Victor Kuvaytsev.

"Estimating the results of the conducted work and comparing them to those of previous years, we can see that a lot was done. However, standards changed, demands increased. Penza is a modern European city that is why it must be as clean as Europe," he said during the discussion of the issues of city improvement with his deputies and heads of area administrations on Tuesday, April 11.

Victor Kuvaytsev ordered heads of area administrations to carry out daily monitoring of neighbourhoods cleaning.

"Managing companies should not stay aside. Yard territories must be cleaned, garbage must be removed. In addition, it is necessary to talk to people. If they do not understand, you have to draw up administrative protocols and impose fines on them," the mayor set the task.

He noted that even though residents have strict requirements to the communal services, the overall culture is worth much to be desired.

"We have to work with people, to get them involved in realization of the project aimed for comfortable environment creation, we should suggest them taking part in contests for getting grant support for yard improvement projects, we have to inculcate a civil position and love to our city. Only by doing so we will have the result," the press service of the Penza mayor's office quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
