Penza, 5 June 2017. PenzaNews. The heating season 2016-2017 was extremely difficult in Penza. This was reported by the deputy head of the city administration Yuri Ilyin during a meeting with journalists held in the PenzaNews press centre on Monday, June 5.

"But for the notorious incident at thermal power plant No. 1, the season would have been difficult anyway because it was characterized by increasing number of emergency situations and their scale.

According to Yuri Ilyin, one should take into account not only the number of houses that remained without heating at different times but also the time required for elimination of consequences of each emergency situation.

"In this regard – taking into account the number of houses without heating and the duration of the heating shutdowns – this season was one of the most difficult ones," Yuri Ilyin specified.
