Penza, 24 October 2017. PenzaNews. In Penza workers installed a new metal fence in Okruzhnaya street in the area where it crossed Kalinina street in a way that it blocked access to a controlled pedestrian crossing.

When walking from the bus stop "Toy factory" it is now necessary to go round the construction on the lawn in order to cross the lively road. A trampled out path can already be seen on the side of the railing.

The situation is particularly uncomfortable for parents with prams and people with disabilities as they cannot use the ramp leading to the carriageway. They have to surmount a high curb.

In addition, people have to approach the pedestrian crossing walking on the ground – no sidewalks have been made here, the approaches on both sides have not been asphalted that is why during a bad weather the path turns into a mash of dirt.

On the opposite side, where the business incubator "Tatlin" is located, another railing was installed. There it crosses the boarder of a pedestrian crossing for about half a metre.

The zebra crossing in that area is supposed to be moved slightly aside. This is evidenced by gaps left on both sides between sections of the metal construction.
