Penza, 11 November 2017. PenzaNews. Several dozen people took part in a rally devoted to issues of deceived housing equity holders, which was organized near the building of the former cinema "Rodina" in Penza on Saturday, November 11.

The event was organized by the Penza regional committee of the Communist Party.

The protest was attended by people who according to them had been deceived by construction companies.

The activists held posters with the slogans: "Housing estate 'Lukomorye' – life as a fairy tale", "Governor, where are you? Housing equity holders of Penzastroy are in distress!", "Housing estate 'In Strelbishchenskaya'. Finish construction of our house!", "LLC Penzastroy. Housing estate 'In Strelbishchenskaya'. Housing equity holders are tired of empty promises", "I have nowhere to live", "Government must be responsible for fraudsters!" and others.

Turning to those present, the leader of Penza communists, deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly, presidium member of the Central Committee of CPRF Georgy Kamnev noted that the issue of deceived housing equity holders was one of the most relevant at that moment.

He reminded that deputies of the regional parliament had passed a law aimed at support of residents who suffered from actions of dishonest developers and explained how it functioned.

Georgy Kamnev also reported on measures that were taken by the authorities to solve the existing problem.

The opportunity to speak was then given to deceived investors. Many of them expressed confidence that when it comes to solving the urgent issue, only common efforts could give a meaningful result.

During the rally, signatures under a collective letter that was planned to be submitted to the authorities were gathered, the press service of the regional committee of the Communist Party informs.
